Lady Bears cruise to 2B Central league championship on Senior Night

BREWSTER – Morgan McGuire, Pepper Boesel, and Berkley Reagles combined for 61 of Brewster’s 77 points over Okanogan, 77-36, as the Lady Bears cruised to the 2B Central league championship with a 41-exclamation-point win at home on Senior Night, Feb. 4.

Pepper Boesel opened the game with Brewster’s first bucket and a lead the Lady Bears would never surrender. Following a 19-11 first quarter Brewster extended its margin by 17, 40-23.

At the end of the third Brewster led by 29, 55-29, with only four team fouls to that point.

Turnovers hampered the Bulldogs with 34, twice those of Brewster with 16.

Brewster finished the regular season 16-4 overall and 6-0 in the 2B league. The win was the 12th straight for the Lady Bears who had not lost a game since playing Cashmere on Dec. 28
