Okanogan-Omak Rotary awards $19,750 in scholarships

OMAK — The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club Foundation has awarded $19,750 in scholarships to eight Wenatchee Valley College-North students for the 2026-27 academic year.

The scholarships include $9,000 from the foundation’s general account and $10,250 from the Catherine Rawson Nursing Scholarship account. The nursing scholarship is designated for a student enrolled in the registered nursing program or pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Recipients are Ashley Hernanzez of Oroville; Irene Adem, Thomas Goodison, Morgan Branter and Tara Marchand of Omak; Emma Chilcote and Ann Oppenheimer of Okanogan; and Jazmine LeDuc of Bridgeport.

Scholarship funds may be used for expenses including tuition, books, child care and transportation. The scholarships are open to students enrolled at the WVC-North campus in Omak.
