PATEROS -- The Pateros City Council held its last regular meeting for the year on Monday, Dec. 19, and among other business approved a resolution for grant funds from the state Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) to complete the Downtown American With Disabilities (ADA) Improvement Project.
Mayor Kelly Hook stated Christmas in the City was a success despite the weather.
Council member Holly Bange reported that she attended the Washington State Tourism networking meeting in Twisp. Bange also attended the Okanogan County Tourism Council (OCTC) meeting held in Omak. OCTC funded the recent installation of the new information kiosk along Commercial Avenue in Pateros.
Council member George Brady attended the Solid Waste Advisory Committee meeting where a new bill was discussed that effective 2027 will require all household gabage to be composted.
City Administrator Jord Wilson reported that the lift station is under water and public works is working to repair it. Brady asked if the pumps were replaced with the energy grant. Wilson said the pumps were replaced but not the service board.
City Clerk/Treasurer Kerri Wilson reported on revenues and expenditures ending November 30, 2022.
A public hearing on the 2022 budget amendment drew no public comment.
