Who says you can't boogie in a chair? The residents and staff of Harmony House are hoping their new YouTube video will go viral. The video, "Call Me Maybe When You're 80," is a dance-filled take on the popular pop song by Carley Rae Jepsen. "101 and still having fun!" is the video's motto, and the residents don't disappoint as they get into the groove. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t0_i1AEKNY&feature=share.

Brewster Grange news

The next meeting of the Grange will be held this Thursday at the Grange Hall. A potluck will begin at 6 p.m., with the meeting to follow.

Grange members will volunteer their time Oct. 18 to run the canteen at the American Red Cross Blood Drive. The blood drive will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Columbia Cove Recreation Center in Brewster.

This may be your last week to score fresh produce at the farmers market, held every Friday afternoon outside the Grange Hall.

Senior Center happenings

The Brewster-Bridgeport-Pateros Senior Center is having a busy month, with the Harvest Dinner coming up Oct. 17 and the Rummage Room open from 8 a.m. to noon every Monday through Thursday. It's also "Show Your Colors Month," wherein the members are asked to come to lunch wearing certain colors each day.
