BRIDGEPORT - Even though it was the hosts' Senior Night, the visitors ruled the scoreboard as Bridgeport welcomed Brewster to its final regular season home game, Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Boys

The Bears' varsity boys remained undefeated in league play with a 63-39 win over the Mustangs and the Lady Bears scored an identical, 63-39 win over the Fillies.

Edgar Najera led the Bears to a 15-8 lead over Bridgeport and then handed off to sophomore Isaac Baker whose eight second-quarter points carried Brewster to a 29-22 lead.

Brewster's defense forced Bridgeport to shoot more from outside where the Mustangs hit eight baskets from beyond the three-point line.

Najera scored another seven of his game-high 18 points in the third quarter before teammate Joe Taylor closed the fourth with nine points.

Isaac Ochoa hit a hat trick of three-pointers to lead Bridgeport with 10 points.
