Bantam battle of the red jerseys

MANSON – Unlike last year when the Brewster Bears were the underdogs going into their game against the Central Washington 2B league champion Manson Trojans, this year’s Bears went to collect some payback for last season’s 28-6 loss. They did so in grand fashion, trouncing the Trojans 57-8 in a one-way rout that went all Brewster’s way.

The win leaves the 3-0 Bears alone with Lake Roosevelt as the only undefeated left in the CWB-2B, one game ahead of 3-1 Manson. Brewster will host 1-2 Soap Lake at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in their final home game of the regular season.
