Brewster softball heads to State playoffs

BREWSTER – The Lady Bears varsity softball team will enter the WIAA 2019 State Championships as the fourth-seed team facing Chewelah at 9 a.m. Friday, May 24, at the Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima.

In District 5/6 Regional competition at Paul Lauzier in Moses Lake last Saturday, May 18, the Lady Bears defeated Liberty Christian 13-3, before losing to Kittitas, 17-4, in the semifinals and 8-4 to Lake Roosevelt to finish in fourth place.

The winner of the round of 16 opener will face either Liberty Christian or Pe Ell.
