Moore installed as pastor in Hope Lutheran ceremony

Posted
Kevin Moore was installed as the pastor at the Hope Lutheran Church in Brewster in a special ceremony Sunday, Nov. 2.

Moore has been the church's pastor for a number of years but during that time he was the pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church in Omak as well. He's now the pastor in Brewster only.

Pastor Mark Hein of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wenatchee, officiated. Mike Von Behren, pastor at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spokane, gave the sermon. He talked about milestones, how they affect people, how people learn from the past and move toward the future.

Other pastors who attended the service to give blessings included Mick Marquardt from Faith Lutheran Church, East Wenatchee; Dan Kunkle from Hope Lutheran Church; Tonasket; Pastor William Goodin from Zion Lutheran Church, Grand Coulee and retired Pastor Elmer Haight, Wenatchee, who served as an interim pastor in Brewster.

"It was a well-attended inspirational service," said a press release from the church. The Ladies of Hope women's group served dinner after the service.
