Brewster School District schedules special meeting for levy proposition discussion

BREWSTER – The Brewster School District, serving Okanogan and Douglas Counties, has scheduled a special Board of Directors meeting for Feb. 20, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Elementary Community Room at 502 S. 7th Street, Brewster.

The agenda for this meeting includes an update on the Feb. 13, election, providing attendees with the latest information.

Another important item on the agenda is Resolution No. 6-23/24, which provides for the submission to the District’s voters, at an election to be held on April 23, 2024, of a proposition authorizing a four-year replacement levy for educational programs and operation expenses.

Additionally, the meeting will cover the appointment of committee members responsible for writing for and against statements. These statements will be included in the Okanogan and Douglas County Local Voters’ Pamphlets, offering voters detailed views on the levy proposition.
