Connecting with our community

Posted

As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of local journalism, I am reminded of the importance of staying closely connected with the communities we serve here in North Central Washington. The heart and soul of our newspapers and media ventures lie in the people, businesses, and organizations that call this region home. That's why I've made it a personal mission to get out there and meet you, our valued readers.

In recent weeks, I've had the privilege of sitting down with several community members, each with unique stories and perspectives. These candid conversations have not only been enlightening but have reaffirmed our commitment to telling the stories that matter most to you.

Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Cashmere Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director to gain deeper insights into the commendable work they do in supporting our local business community. Their dedication to fostering economic growth and collaboration is truly remarkable.

One particular highlight on my journey was addressing the Leavenworth Rotary Club. It was an opportunity to engage in a thoughtful discussion about the future of local journalism and the vital role it plays in our communities. The enthusiasm and support I encountered there were truly inspiring.

As the CEO and Publisher of Ward Media, I want to emphasize our accessibility to the communities we serve. Whether you're part of a community organization, a local business, or a group that shares our passion for North Central Washington, I invite you to reach out. If your organization is interested in having me as a speaker or if you simply want to connect, please do not hesitate to give me a call or send an email.

Our commitment to you extends beyond the printed pages of our newspapers and the digital landscapes we navigate. It's rooted in the relationships we build, the stories we share, and the community we foster together. Your voices matter, and I am here to listen.

Thank you for entrusting us with your stories, and I look forward to continuing this journey of connection and collaboration.
