The forum will focus on the “The Heart of the Watershed,” Osoyoos Lake.

This Water Science Forum will bring together Indigenous and Western approaches to the Knowledge, Science and Management.  There are a number of speakers from a number of agencies from British Columbia and Washington State, and some federal agencies also –providing many perspectives on how Osoyoos Lake is managed and how to protect it in the future.  There will also be speakers from member bands and communities of the Okanagan Nation Alliance.

We will be focused on working together for solutions involving the watershed extending from Vernon, B.C. to Brewster, Washington.  The “Heart” is Lake Osoyoos it tells us much of what we know is right and what is wrong in the watershed.  The participants will be able to go to a wine and cheese reception,  visit the Waterways Exhibition at the Osoyoos Museum and other entertaining events during the three day event.

Remember, that students are welcomed with free admission and everyone from Brewster to Vernon are invited to join this once in a lifetime event.  Enjoy the Sunny Side of the Cascades with us in Osoyoos, B.C.
