Brewster state track and field qualifiers head to Cheney

BREWSTER – The district track and field championships were held at Brewster last Thursday, May 19, where the top three girls and top two boys advanced to the state meet Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 26, 27, and 28, in Cheney.

Brewster girls state qualifiers:

• Kadence Carrington - 800, 1600 and 4x400 relay

• Kara Pulsifer – 3200

• Victoria Contreras – 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and 4x400 relay

• Rosario Olvera – 4x400 relay

• Julissa Rincon – 4x400 relay

Brewster boys state qualifiers:

• Juan David Martinez – 800, 4x400 relay

• Francisco Duran - 110 high hurdles, 300 intermediate hurdles and 4x400 relay

• Jose Nila – 4x400 relay

• Dane Hampe – 4x400 relay

• Cort Gebbers – shot put and discus
