Pateros Billygoats baseball team wins last three games

PATEROS – The Billygoats varsity baseball team is riding a three-game win streak following victories over Soap Lake and Oroville last week.
Pateros hosted Soap Lake for an 11-1 win in six innings last Wednesday, March 28
Jeremy Piechalski started the game on the mound for the Billygoats and pitched four innings, throwing six strikeouts, giving up two walks and a run.
Logan Robinson took over the final two innings with four strikeouts and no walks.
Hitters for Pateros were Doug Viebrock, 1-4, and Piechalski, 2-4 with a double.
The Eagles are rebuilding from a young team this season following the loss of seven seniors to graduation last year.
Oroville falls
Pateros took both ends of a doubleheader from visiting Oroville last Saturday, March 31. The Billygoats won the first game 16-5 in five innings and game two, 18-2
Max Ewing started on the mound in game one and pitched two innings, allowed no hits, gave up rive walks and three runs.
Robinson took over for two innings and threw five strikeouts, gave up two hits and no runs.
Tag Easter threw the final inning with no hits, a walk and two runs.
Pateros hitters included Robinson, 2-2 with three home runs and a triple, Viebrock, 3-4 with two doubles, and Piechalski, 2-3 with a double.
Piechalski was the winning pitcher in game two and hit 2-4 with a double at the plate.
Robinson added another home run on 2-3 hitting. Teammate Lucas Miller hit 2-4 with two doubles.
Pateros will host Lake Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10.
