Brewster

The Bears lost to Chelan 77-60 on June 10, said head coach Michael Taylor.

With a 2-3 record going into their final week of competition the Bears have four games this week ending their season on Saturday, June 19.

The Lady Bears had a few players test positive for COVID and with graduation on June 11 the seniors opted to stay safe and not participate in the game at Chelan, June 10, said head coach Stephanie Schertenleib.

“In normal circumstances we would have possibly tried to reschedule or cancel but arrangements had already been made for Chelan’s senior night. With an already condensed schedule and time frame there was no time to make up games,” said Schertenleib. “So, we rounded up seven girls who have not practiced a single time together prior to this game; five freshman and two eighth graders who were willing to step up and play a varsity Chelan group to give their seniors an opportunity to play a final game in front of their family and friends.”
