Memorial to ‘Old Pateros’

A memorial to the town of old Pateros that was relocated to make way for the rising Columbia River waters behind Wells Dam sits n the front lawn of Pateros High School. A school of circling bronze salmon frozen forever above buildings and titled Fish Swimming Over Old Pateros was created by M.Q. Grant and R. Beyer in 1991 with the help of community contributions.
