Pateros Community Market pops-up a success

PATEROS – The first of a series of weekend Pop-Up Markets debuted Friday, June 11, in Lakeshore Park with more than a dozen vendors and plenty of attention from shoppers. Friday’s three-hour Market & Movie session ran from 5 to 8 p.m. and was followed by an outdoor family movie shown on a large blow-up screen in front of the Riverview Pavilion.
Vendors offered a variety of items from crafts to garden, edibles to information.
Saturday’s Market & Music venue ran from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m. and featured live music along with the variety of vendors. The two-day community market will be a fixture in the park every second Friday of the month through September. Those dates are July 9-10, August 13-14, and Sept. 10-11.
