PATEROS – The Nannies varsity soccer team linked together a chain of seven wins in its last eight games to qualify for the CW2B district playoff game that Pateros hosted against Liberty Bell last Thursday.

The latest wins were against Manson, 5-0, on Oct. 21, followed by Lake Roosevelt two days later.

“We beat Lake Roosevelt on Oct. 24 by a score of 4-3,” said head coach Olivia Cronin. “Coco Cronin had three goals and Stevie Simmons also scored.”

In the 5-0 win against the Trojans five different players each scored goals for the Nannies, Jenessa Scroggie (assisted by Cronin), Wrandie Bowen, Cronin, Stevie Simmons (assisted by Scroggie), and Dulce Vicente (assisted by Cronin).

The Nannies were ready for Liberty Bell who they shut out 4-0, in an earlier meeting on Oct. 19. However the Mountain Lions came to play and delivered a 3-1 turnaround that ended further playoff hopes for Pateros.
