WENATCHEE - The touring children's theatre group, Magik Theatre, docks in Wenatchee on Nov. 1 to perform "Treasure Island the Musical."

The show will go on at 6:30 p.m., presented by Van Doren Sales.

Adapted for the stage by David Morgan and based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. Set sail on the high seas with the original pirate story about a boy, Jamie Hawkins, who is taken by a band of pirates in search of lost treasure. When Jamie learns of the pirate plans for mutiny, he discovers he must pick a side, forcing him to grow up and do the right thing. Climb aboard and experience the tale that became the model for all of the pirate films that followed.

Pre-show entertainment and activities will start 90 minutes before curtain. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes another night for the costume contest. Plus, everyone is invited after the show to meet the Magik Theatre performers in the PAC lobby. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students and children. Support is provided by NCW Kid Connect.

Located in the heart of San Antonio's historic HemisFair Park, the Magik Theatre is San Antonio's premiere family theatre whose mission is to nurture a love and understanding of theatre and literature by providing extraordinary, affordable, professional theatre and education experiences. Since its founding in 1994, The Magik Theatre has brought its innovative, literature-based productions to over 1.3 million people, including over half a million children. The Magik Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supported by contributions from corporations, foundations, government agencies and individuals.
