WENATCHEE - North Central Washington (NCW) Libraries is inviting everyone in its five-county service area to participate in National Library Week celebrations from April 7-13. The library system, which operates 30 branch locations across Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, and Ferry counties, offers a wide range of resources, including books, movies, educational programs, book clubs, arts and crafts classes, author talks, movie nights, and weekly story times.

In addition to its branch locations, NCW Libraries features a community bookmobile, a unique Mail Order Library, and Latinx and STEM outreach services. Executive Director Barbara Walters expressed her gratitude to the dedicated staff and volunteers who transform the libraries into vibrant centers of learning and connection.

National Library Week, first started in 1958, is an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries nationwide. The week also includes celebrations for Right to Read Day, National Library Workers Day, National Library Outreach Day, and Take Action for Libraries Day.

NCW Libraries will be highlighting its services and staff members throughout the week on its Facebook and Instagram pages. For more information, visit www.ncwlibraries.org.
