Blood drive draws successful donations

PATEROS – The latest blood drive held at the Pateros Fire Department last Thursday, June 22, resulted in 18 successful donations out of an allotted 24 slots, said Pateros City Council member Chantel Poole, who organized the event.

The previous drive was held in the Pateros school gym on Jan. 26, where more than two dozen donors showed up to give the life-saving gift.

Poole organized a drive at the Pateros-Brewster Community Resource Center on June 3, 2022.

“We don’t have the next drive scheduled yet,” said Poole, “but I’d imagine it will be around mid-August.”
