WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley College has named Geoff LaHaie as its new vice president of finance and administrative services, selecting the veteran higher education administrator following what the college described as an extensive nationwide search. LaHaie begins Aug. 10.

In the role, LaHaie will oversee the college's fiscal services, facilities, information technology, and safety and security operations while leading budget development and ensuring financial compliance and reporting. College officials said the position will play a key role in strengthening WVC's financial health and long-term operational sustainability.

LaHaie most recently served as interim director of business services at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon, where he coordinated annual audits, helped implement a new enterprise resource planning system and managed contracts, procurement and business operations. Before that, he spent several years at Klamath Community College, rising from director of business services and controller to vice president of administrative services and chief financial officer.

During his tenure at Klamath Community College, LaHaie oversaw annual budget development, facilities planning and construction, payroll, procurement and financial operations. He also managed capital projects, including development of an apprenticeship center, land acquisitions and construction for a new cosmetology program.

A Michigan native and first-generation college graduate, LaHaie earned bachelor's and MBA degrees from Western Michigan University. He and his wife, Jeanne, will relocate to the Wenatchee Valley.

"We are excited to welcome Mr. LaHaie to Wenatchee Valley College in this critical leadership role," WVC President Faimous Harrison said. "His experience in higher education, budget development, and auditing will provide the guidance and expertise our college needs as we have spent the past year focused on strengthening WVC's financial health."
